Median home prices, however, are still drifting lower as homeowners are lowering asking prices and lenders are increasingly willing to accept "short sales", or transactions that produce less than what is owed on the property, experts said. Saturday, June 14, 2008 Idaho ranks 17th in nation for foreclosures Monthly foreclosure filings in Idaho have accelerated since the beginning of the year. A total of 808 Idaho homes were in some stage of foreclosure in May, including 463 homes that received the initial notice of default that begins the process, according to the monthly RealtyTrac survey released Friday. In January, 735 Idaho homes were in some stage of foreclosure.
